In this workshop, kids will learn Street Art techniques, make lines, determine designs and everyone will have the opportunity to make their own piece of art.
Quick Details
You hear and see it everywhere you tune: Rap and Beats. Rap actually means Rhythm and Poetry. Rap is the art of telling in rhyme. But how do they make those raps? And how do they produce those beats? How would it sound if it was your voice you heard in that fat track? We will find out during the Rap ‘n Beats workshop!
We are going to write our own hits at a rapid pace! During this workshop, the children get to know their own creative flow. They will be introduced to music software via iPads and, they will see that you can do much more with it than just watch movies!
Together with Daniel Zuur (don’t tell, but he is a real professional producer) they intuitively get all the ins and outs of producing a cool track. At the end of the workshop, the children go home with their own track.
Location: Buurman De With, Witte de Withstraat 102, 1057 ZG Amsterdam
We will go into the time machine to understand what exactly makes rap rap.
We will write our own text. About how cool the holidays are, how amazing the city of Amsterdam is, or about wonder woman or superman! We will make sure that kids own their own content, and that the lyrics are made from their own perspective!
Then the lyrics still have to come to a beat – but how do we get there? By producing it yourself of course! Via the iPad, we get to work with super cool software, the iMaschine, and we make our own beats.
Now we still have to record the text – We also use the special software for that.
The only thing missing now is to present your hit to the rest. We will investigate how rappers move, how they look, and what kind of clothes they wear. At the end of this workshop, everyone can download their own track and play it at home!
We will work on these values:
• Produce • Anticipate • Creativity • Writing • Presenting
As usually in our activities, language is not a barrier! The workshop will be held in Dutch, English, and Spanish, we enjoy diversity!
